Travels

Sorry for being so tardy in posting anything! I was in Dallas visiting my family over Easter (had so much fun!). Baby Jay continues to grow both physically and in his personality.... Very funny/happy baby; so in LOVE with him! My mom and I were able to visit the Dallas Market and we found some adorable lines of baby onesies, lovie blankets, diaper covers and fun bags! Hopefully I will be able to start ordering some of this stuff before the summer is over after I get some paperwork together for my BUSINESS!

I also have purchased several new designs that I will try to get embroidered soon! Here is my list....
Airplane, Anchor, Baseball with bat, 3 letter circle monogram, football, frog, princess crown, christmas wreath, alligator, auburn, bird, cupcake, elina the elephant, layered flower, sheriff badge, teapot, texas longhorn, tie, umbrella (girl and boy version) wagon, fleur de lis, baby carriage. I also have several alphabet fonts and numbers.
Enjoy!

sport towel and sheriff badge

A couple new boy designs.... I also have a baseball design with 2 bats crossing behind the ball.

Fun sheriff badge. Initial can be done in the middle as opposed to the star.

Off to work! Have a lovely evening!!!

Stormy weather calls for some sewing...

Below is a new font I just got... It has a "bean" stitch in a coordinating color on top of the bottom "satin" stitch... Fun and different!

Here I did the flower with only 2 of the layers so I would have space to add her name... If you just want the first initial, I can add a third layer of fabric.

I hope you enjoy! If you want to contact me to order something, the easiest way is by email: christin.anne.porter@gmail.com
but feel free to call me: 615.336.2556

Burp Cloths!

Burp cloths are finally here!!! I was able to work on these for Kate and Caleb this afternoon.... These are made from "diaper service quality" chinese trifold cloth diapers.... Super soft and absorbant!! They have been pre-washed and ready to be used! I am selling them for $10 each OR two for $18!!! Perfect personalized gift to take to a baby shower!

New Circle Monogram

I think this would also be cute in red, yellow and blue gingham for a boy....

Birthdays!

Sweet Bella Grace (our neighbors soon to be 5 year old daughter) is having her birthday party this weekend at Krispy Kreme... She came to visit me this afternoon and I told her I was making her something... Her guesses: 1. doughnuts 2. pizza. Neither of those but here is what I was doing....

Here's the umbrella without the bow. A little more "boyish"...

Tuesday, April 5, 2011

My first little "road block" i've run into is, this past weekend I bought a pack of onesies (the line of Carters brand that Target carries). I have used them before and they were so thick and soft. However, I think they just started using a cheaper cotton because the ones I just purchased were so scratchy and thin. Needless to say I am going to be getting the more expensive Carters from Macy's until I can utilize a wholesale source. Macy's is double the price so my price will be $18 for a appliqued/embroidered onesie. I hate changing prices so soon after starting but soft clothes on babies skin is too important :) Have a great day! Off to bed before work tonight!
More Amy Butler fabrics I got in the mail! Love her color schemes!
I made this today for Jay! Cant wait to give him all his new clothes when I see him Easter!

New umbrella pattern... Several different variations to make more "boyish."
